Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data Greece Tours Online collects, why it collects it, and what rights you have. Greece Tours Online publishes tour pages about day trips and boat tours in Greece and Cyprus. The site collects data in only three ways: visitor statistics, comments and the contact form.

A private individual runs this website

Greece Tours Online is run by its owner, Yannis Divramis. He is a private individual, not a company. He decides what data the site collects and how it is used.

To ask a question about your data, use the contact form. Every request in this policy goes through that form.

Visitor statistics count visits, not names

The site uses Google Analytics, installed through the Site Kit by Google plugin. It counts visits and shows which pages people view. This shows the owner which pages need work.

The owner sees totals, not names. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. Google documents them as lasting up to two years.

You can block these cookies. The tour pages still work without them.

Comments store the details you type

Comments are open on posts and pages. When you comment, the site stores your name, your email address, your optional website and the comment text. It also stores your IP address and your browser user agent.

The IP address and user agent are used only to check for spam. The Antispam Bee plugin does this check, and it runs on the site’s own server. Your email address is never shown in public. You can ask for your comment and its data to be deleted at any time.

The contact form is used only to answer you

The contact form uses the Contact Form 7 plugin. It sends your name, your email address and your message by email to the owner. He uses them only to answer your message.

The plugin sets no tracking cookies.

Bookings and payments never happen here

Greece Tours Online does not sell tours. It does not take bookings or payments. It is an affiliate partner of GetYourGuide and Viator, and every booking happens on their websites.

Links to those two companies carry a partner code. When you click one, they set their own cookies so they can credit the booking to Greece Tours Online. The site never sees your booking details or payment data. Their own privacy policies apply from that click.

The site does not sell personal data, and it does not use ads.

Other companies may see your visit

Some tour pages embed content from other companies. These include YouTube videos, Google Maps, the GetYourGuide booking widget and Viator tour cards. The pictures on the Viator cards load from media.tacdn.com.

These services can set their own cookies and record that you visited the page. They do this under their own privacy policies, not under this one. If you block third-party cookies in your browser, the booking widget or the videos may stop loading.

Data is kept only as long as it is needed

Comments and the data stored with them stay on the site until the owner deletes them or the commenter asks for deletion. Contact form messages are used only to answer them.

The Google Analytics cookies last up to two years. If you tick the box to save your details when you comment, WordPress keeps them in your browser for one year. Without the tick, none are saved.

You have clear rights over your data

The site is run from Greece, in the European Union, so the GDPR applies. You have the right to see the data held about you. You can also ask to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used.

Send any request through the contact form. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Cookie details are on a separate page

This page does not list cookies one by one. The Cookies Policy names each cookie, who sets it and how long it lasts. It also explains how to see, block and delete cookies in your browser.

Some cookies exist only for the site owner. Login cookies are set when he signs in to the admin area. Ordinary visitors do not get them.
